BreezingForms Installation Step 2 loops if you have permission issues. As part of instalation configuration file facileforms.config.php needs to be created, and if systems is unable to create it in joomlaroot/components/com_facileforms/ directory - installation loops.
Solution is to upload an empty file with ftp and allow web server to change it.

Unicorn will be used to provide premium level services to US and International audience. This linux server will support PHP5 and MySQL5 as well as Django framework. Migration process will begin for selected customers after 22/05/09.

Yandex offers new business solution

Yandex opens its web statistics analysis tool Metrica for general use by every website owner or webmaster. Yandex.Metrica allows customers to measure traffic, analyze user behavior and evaluate the efficiency of advertising campaigns. Solution is similar to Google analytics.
After implementing Metrica counter on their websites, advertisers can track user activity there. For example, Yandex.Direct advertisers can see if people reach an order form or any other significant page on the website. The Metrica tool creates eight groups of various reports, and for maximum acuracy, the data is updated every five minutes of time. Metrica counter is hidden from website visitors and its records are only accessible to the site`s webmaster.
Another interesting feature is alerting, Yandex Metrica is constantly monitors accessibility of the web site and is able to alert him if the site is unreachable for any reason. Alerts are sent using standard email or SMS.

We are considering to provide a new service to our customers, sales and clearance in Russia and CIS. Some of our customers want to sell in Russia but they are unable or unwilling to manage a shop there and accept local payment methods such as Webmoney and Yandex money. We considering an option to provide full scale solution to those customers and started a pilot with Booby smart solutions, makers of patent pending water tanks. We had created a small localized web shop and integrated one of our Webmoney purses to accept payments. customer provided products details and we made a translation. will see there it will take us.

SIR (simple image rotator fix for Joomla url optimization

We have been using SIR image rotation component from http://www.joomlaworks.gr for a while now. It`s easy, light and flexible. One of the problems was that with search engine url optimization enabled all rotating images got displayed at the same time.
In order to fix that there is some patching to be done.
In file:

line 66 needs to be changed from:

We are happy to continue our partnership with GoGrid. Right now we provide our customers with first class servers but in the near future we are going to integrate our site and their API, allowing the customer to manage his servers more freely and very soon with Hebrew and Russian localization. We have been growing for the last 6 month in a very healthy way, our customers list include more countries, projects became more versatile. All have been nice but we reached a critical phase in with simply writing tel numbers down is not good enough any more. So we are shopping for a new solution to manage customer`s contacts and projects. So far we had checked Sugar, SalesForce, FreeCRM and ZOHO, the results were disastrous. They are simply to complicated. First task was to simply import contacts list and divide them into some categories. It just took us forever to understand the logic betwen contact and numbers and tasks. We need a simples solution.

We had opened a news server with Aptana cloud service. Server is configured with 256 MB RAM, 4GB space and unlimited data transfer. On the software side we have postfix, apache, php5 and MySQL. For the first test we had moved some files to test the speed of the data transfer and it was around 60 kbps making it comparable to ADSL lines. we were a bit disappointed since we are used to GoGrid with much faster transfer rates.

We will use Prestashop for a new project - amazganim.com, e-shop for air condition units. Presta has easy to use back-end and very nice front end. Unlike out main platform, Virtuemart, Presta has easy, out of the box Ajax interface and fast engine.

Global View: The TASE Global Exhibition as a social without Web

It was crowded at Rothschild Blvd. as Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) opened the "Global View," exhibiting artistically designed globes. Thousands of people took Saturday night eve to explore the exhibition. Each globe was prepared by one of Israel's 100 leading companies listed on the TASE. Each participant is exhibiting a globe designed specifically to express the company's concept of globalization. IDB, Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, Cellcom, Partner, and Strauss-Group are some of the listed Israeli companies participating in the "Global View" exhibition; in addition to the international stock exchanges, foreign members of the TASE such as Citigroup, UBS, and Deutsche Bank will also feature. Can such an event be considered social site? People interacted, exchanged comments, met. All the attributes were there. I have visited the site and noticed that each globe was signed by a company that made it and people looked down and searched for the signs commenting and passing those along ... "Clal investments" ... "Cellcom ...". Brands were recognised, or guessed it does not matter, they are more familiar now than before and in for favorable way.
This exhibition is a good example of social 2.0 the old style.
